Selle Royal, in collaboration with the Sport University of Cologne, has developed the first comprehensive range of ergonomic saddles based on university-level laboratory studies. The result is the Scientia range – a complete range of six ergonomic saddles designed to suit every rider. Choosing the right Scientia saddle is based on precise measurements of the width of the sit bones. The Moderate category saddles are designed for cyclists who prefer a more relaxed, upright riding position with aback approximately 60°. This position shifts the rider's weight further back, onto the wider part of the saddle, and provides a greater degree of stability and comfort.
