The Terra Ergolace GTX is a versatile shoe for MTB and gravel, combining lacing, a durable water-breathable upper with a GORE-TEX membrane, and a Vibram sole — an ideal choice for a variety of terrains.
Compared to the pure dry model, the GORE-TEX version adds a three-layer construction to reduce moisture penetration, while ripstop fabric and PU reinforcements provide abrasion protection. The lacing is ergonomically designed to stabilize the foot without unnecessarypressure.
The low profile of the shoe minimizes bulk and prevents an overly bulky appearance. The construction limits unwanted lateral movement of the foot, and the wider base under the foot promotes stable contact with the pedals.
The X2 sole is designed to offer a balance between stiffness for efficient pedaling and flexibility for walking (e.g. when pushing a bike). A compression EVA sockliner provides cushioning, a Vibram rubber compound provides traction and an aggressive pattern ("directional lugs")contributes to a certain contact on various surfaces.
Thanks to the slim cut, the shoes look elegant even off the trail, and the wide base under the foot gives a feeling of stability and full control over the bike.
