The Terra Alpaca X5 is a new mountain saddle from Fizik, designed for support and control when riding up and down hills. It comes with a fully integrated tool carrier that fits perfectly under the shape of the Alpaca saddle without compromising the aesthetics of the bike.
The saddle is ideal for full suspension trail bikes and is designed to work with the dropper post extended when pedaling and retracted when descending. The 145mm width provides good supportwhile pedaling, while allowing easy movement on the saddle. The transition from the tip to the side protrusions is smooth, allowing you to adjust your body position as needed, and the slightly wavy rear edge unobtrusively supports the lower back. The front of the saddle is wide and straight, providing solid support when pushing forward on climbs. In addition, the ergonomic depressions relieve pressure on soft parts of the body without interfering with wearing wider cycling pants.
All Alpaca saddles have a Mobius rail construction –a closed loop that increases strength and evenly distributes the load, minimizing the risk of the skis breaking during hard impacts.
The side edges of the saddle and the back are flexible, allowing for gentle deformation during impacts while protecting the inner thighs from abrasion.
