ClearlyThe blue tube under the Podium® cap is the Vent Tube. It's the secret to the high water flow when you turn the bottle upside down to drink. The vent tube allows air to enter, replacing the water that flows smoothly out of the bottle.

Camelbak bottle caps are compatible with each other. You can convert your Podium Vacuum Insulated bottles by purchasing a Chute Mag cap orCarry Cap for a stylish water bottle for everyday use. With the Hot Cap you can turn it into a coffee or tea mug.

The construction is durable enough to withstand the scratches that are inevitable when in contact with the basket. Both the Podium Steel and Titanium will likely eventually show some minor wear that does not affect the function of the bottle.
