No need to use a cable, bowden or wire with SRAM engineersopens up new possibilities to design the Eagle AXS ™ design. This has created a control that provides a whole new shift experience. Ergonomic buttons can be set to do exactly what you want with the AXS ™ application. Each of the buttons can be assigned one of three functions: Shift to Heavy, Shift to Lighter or Telescopic Seat Post Control. If the wheel does not move to sleep mode, wake up then just press one of the buttons.
It's not just a mechanical derailleur with battery and motor. The Eagle AXS ™ derailleur is also the brain of the entire AXS ™ system. Easy installation, quiet operation, high precision and extended lifetime.
Compared to mechanical Eagle ™ derailleurs, the new Eagle AXS ™ has a 10 mm shorter guide for better terrain clearance, the upper pulley is more forward for more chain-to-cassette contact, and the entire derailleur is closer to the frame.
New Overload technologyClutch protects the Eagle AXS ™ derailleur against impact damage. If a collision occurs, the engine disconnects and the derailleur has the freedom to move. Immediately after, however, he returns to his original position, so the rider does not even know. The primary purpose of the Overload Clutch is to protect the derailleur motor, but it also protects the derailleur itself and even the frame foot.
